Week four

Good evening and welcome to the fourth transmission of Electronic Ears. I’ll be adding links to the tracks on Spotify (or, failing that, YouTube) as the evening progresses.

Apologies in advance for the burst of static before each link. I can only get rid of it by talking over the end of the track, which I don’t want to do.

Anyway, here we go:

1. ‘Piece of Me‘ by Britney Spears.

2. ‘Obsession‘ by Animotion. And not Animotion by Obsession, as I think I just said :-/

3. ‘Killer‘ by Adamski.

4. ‘I’m In Love With A German Film Star‘ by The Passions.

5. ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)‘ Murder Mix by Dead Or Alive.

6. ‘(We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang‘ by Heaven 17 (or maybe BEF).

7. ‘Icehouse‘ by Icehouse. Not on Spotify, I’m afraid.

8. ‘Underpass‘ by John Foxx

9. ‘Oh Yeah‘ by Yello.

10. ‘State of Independance‘ by Donna Summer. I know it says “independence” on Spotify but it says “independance” on my single.

11. ‘Alex Descends Into Hell For A Bottle Of Milk/ Korova 1‘ – Bono and The Edge.

12. ‘Tour De France‘ by Kraftwerk. (Not the version I played, sorry.)

The second hour:

13. ‘Digeridoo (Analogue Bubblebath 2)‘ by The Aphex Twin

14. ‘Alpha Beta Gaga‘ by Air.

15. ‘Feel Me‘ by Blancmange.

16. ‘23 Years Too Late‘ by Wire. For Lou and Jon.

17. ‘Your Woman‘ by White Town.

18. ‘The Heart Knows Better’ (remix by Sweet Billy Pilgrim) by David Sylvian.

19. ‘In The Name Of Love‘ by the Thompson Twins.

20. ‘Strict Machine‘ by Goldfrapp.

21. ‘Harry Patch‘ by Radiohead.

The eighteen tracks that are available on Spotify can be found on this playlist.

To anyone who did listen, thank you very much. Really. I’m hugely flattered.
