Week twelve

This week’s playlist has turned out to be rather uncompromising but hopefully everyone will be busy watching the Paralympics closing ceremony and no one will be put off.

And speaking of the Paralympics, first up –

1. ‘Harder Than You Think‘ by Public Enemy.

2. ‘How To Be A Millionaire‘ by ABC.

3. ‘Hippychick‘ by Soho. Inexplicably not on Spotify, although there other stuff is. Must be a record company thing. The link is to YouTube.

4. ‘Oxygène Pt IV‘ by Jean Michel Jarre.

5. ‘Polaroïd/Roman/Photo‘ by Ruth.

6. ‘Personal Stereo‘ by Appliance.

7. ‘Ricky’s Hand‘ by Fad Gadget.

8. ‘Rheinita‘ by La Dusseldorf. YouTube, I’m afraid.

9. ‘It’s Not Right But It’s OK‘ by Whitney Houston.

10. ‘Being Boiled‘ (Fast version) by The Human League.

11. ‘Computer World‘ by Kraftwerk. Although I actually played the German version, ‘Computer Liebe’.

12. ‘Are People People‘ by Depeche Mode. This is Adrian Sherwood’s remix of ‘People Are People’.

13. ‘Wireless Fantasy‘ by Vladimir Ussachevsky.

14. ‘Pluck‘ by Jody K Jenkins. YouTube, again, I’m afraid.

15. ‘Der Mussolini‘ by D.A.F.

16. ‘That’s Not My Name‘ by Dizzee Rascal. Also not on Spotify. What’s wrong with these people?

17. ‘Reassurance Ritual‘ by Das Ding.

18. ‘Flower Duet‘ by Léo Delibes. And I’m unfollowing anyone who mentions British Airways.

19. ‘Lazy Calm‘ by Cocteau Twins.

20. ‘Spine Bubbles‘ (Ellis Island Sound mix) by Two Lone Swordsmen.

21. ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya‘ by A R Rahman.

And that’s it for another week! Uncompromising little devil, this week’s playlist. May be just as well that it clashed with the Paralympic closing ceremony! But thanks to anyone who did listen (yes, I mean you, Cazza!).
